Common emergencies include severe toothaches, knocked-out or broken teeth, swollen gums or face, dental abscesses, and severe bleeding after an extraction. If you are in severe, unmanageable pain, it is an emergency.

If you experience life-threatening swelling that impacts your breathing or swallowing, please go to your nearest hospital emergency department. Otherwise, leave us a voicemail or book online, and we will contact you first thing in the morning.

2. Handling Dental Trauma
Immediate Steps to Take

Pick up the tooth by the crown (the top part), never by the root. If clean, try to gently push it back into the socket. If that’s not possible, store it in a container of milk or your own saliva, and get to our clinic within 30-60 minutes.

Rinse your mouth with warm salt water and gently use dental floss to remove any trapped food. Take an over-the-counter pain reliever (like Paracetamol or Ibuprofen) as directed. Never put aspirin directly on your gums, as it can burn the tissue.

While not a drop-everything emergency, you should still see us within a few days. A chipped tooth can expose the inner layers to bacteria, leading to a much more painful and expensive infection later.

3. Costs & Insurance
Payment Information

The cost varies depending on what treatment is required. However, your initial emergency consultation and X-ray will have a set fee. We will clearly outline all costs for any further treatment (like extractions or root canals) before we proceed.

Absolutely. We accept all major health funds and have HICAPS on-site. You can swipe your card on the day of your appointment and only pay the remaining gap.

Yes, we know emergencies are unexpected expenses. We offer flexible, interest-free payment plans through third-party providers to ensure you can get out of pain today and pay later.
